Is a unique Shabbat candle holder has other unexpected functions. The rounded circular base encloses an open circle. This flowing sculpture rises to two flared arms that can hold candles. When the candleholders are removed the open hollows comprise another unique handwashing laver. With a hint of the ancient, this graceful candle holder is a very contemporary and original design. Lay it on its side, horizontally, and you can see an echo of the oil-burning clay candleholder used by our forefathers in Temple period times. Found in almost every archaeological dig in Israel these clay artefacts had round openings for the oil little spouts for the wicks.
