All Adi Diamont’s ceremonial art are also contemporary sculptures. A dramatic Star of David in sterling silver embraces silver saucers for the ritual Seder foods within each triangle section of the Star. Each side of the inner hexagonal shape formed by the Star is pierced with the Hebrew names of the ritual foods. The Star of David, also known as the Magen David—the Shield of David, symbolizes the protective balance between earthly and heavenly forces that is the hallmark of the Jewish religion in general and the holiday of Passover in particular. This limited edition of eighteen pieces is also available in silver plate.
