This is a lovely dual function set of candlesticks and vases. One polished sterling silver candlestick rests on a flared base rising up through a narrow neck to a pregnant sphere. It is topped with a removable candleholder that lifts out to reveal a space for flowers. Her mate, the other candlestick, rests on the sphere and then rises up through the neck to the flared candleholder top. The two sensuous shapes nest together like two spoons; a perfect gift for a newlywed couple. Ely Levisohn, proprieter of Judaica Heirlooms saw the potential for this original design in a pair of much smaller silver salt and pepper shakers created by a famous European silversmith and Ely then commissioned the MAN & WOMAN set.
